Our Story

At Frank & Sons Body Works, we pride ourselves on our humble beginnings and how we’ve expanded our business over the years with the help of family and friends.

In 1971, Frank begins his own business after working for MERTS BODY WORKS for 11 years, and names his shop Frank’s Body Works. The shop consists of a small house, an office, two bays, and an alignment pit (built by Frank and friends).
Soon after this, Frank builds an extension onto the workspace.
1975, Frank renovates the attached home into two additional bays of workspace.
In 1978, Frank purchases an adjacent house with land, which adds two more bays.
In 1982, Frank builds another addition, including three work bays, a new office area, and full remodeling of the exterior to give it a neat, professional touch (per request of Mayor Ryan).
In 1985, the original home is converted into a new office, and work areas measuring 66’ x 72’ are added, doubling the size of the existing shop. The shop adds a spray booth, and we now have 32 bays.
1986: We officially change our name to Frank & Sons Body Works, Inc., with sons Todd and Scott officially part of the business. This is also the year Frank & Sons Used Cars is born.
In 1994, the second story is added, including the upstairs office, additional storage space, and the lunch/break room for the employees.
In 2007, another addition is built measuring 40’x 86′, with 14′ and 16′ ceilings, with ten more bays for the shop, which now totals over 42 bays. This newest addition is primarily for the body repair of fire trucks, tractor-trailers, all size motorhomes and trailers, boats, and any other large vehicles. Learn more about this addition here!
